List of Ben 10 series

No one can doubt the popularity of the Ben 10 franchise. With four series based on the popular animated feature as well as some animated feature movies, this series isn't about to slow down anytime soon.

This story is about a boy named Ben who has a high tech watch like device that allows him to change shape into any number of space alien species in order to battle evil in the universe. The backstory to the series involves his family, especially his grandfather, to whom the alien watch, the Omnitrix was destined to be given to but Ben got to it first and his genetic profile fooled the device into thinking him the owner. Ben's sister is also in the picture with her own powers. Her name is Gwendolyn aka Gwen Tennnyson whose alien grandma gave her her powers of some kind of magic and she uses it powerfully. His Grandpa, Maxwell Tennyson aka Max is also a prominent character having once been an Apollo astronaut.

The series has captured the imagination of millions of kids and adults worldwide. There's Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Ben 10: Omniverse due out in September 2012. The toys and other Ben 10 merchandise has gathered over $2 billion worldwide and is still growing. Let's look at the Ben 10 franchise a little closer.

First was Ben 10. It follows the story of the 10 year old Benjamin Tennyson who discovers the mysterious Omnitrix, a device that at first allows him only to turn into 10 space aliens with powers but as his experience and responsibilities increase he can become more aliens. This comes in handy as he travels the countryside with his Grandpa Max and sister Gwen.

Ben 10: Alien Force increases the series with Ben now a teenager who has to put on the Omnitrix to help find his missing Grandpa Max and is now involved in a new set of challenging adventures with new friends and new alien powers.

Ben 10: Ultimate Alien just took right off from the previous series and involves his acquiring the powerful Ultrimatrix which offers the ability to morph the aliens he becomes so that they can change into more advanced forms. This leads to more powerful battles and awesome storylines where we can see Ben growing into a more responsible hero.

Finally, coming out in September 2012 is the latest series, Ben 10: Omniverse. Luckily for US audiences it will premiere in June 2012. What new features that Ben 10 will have what new powers we can only speculate as the series is just growing and growing.

Add to that the movies and games, trivia shows and more you can see that this franchise isn't going anywhere. More and more fans keep lining up and with all the content they've produced there's tons of stuff for newbies who will have to do some major television watching to catch up to the die hard fans.
